Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly, but flooding the river.  ~Malagasy Proverb

So long I have waited
Yet the storm always evaded
My calling, my wanting
Ever on the edge, ever taunting

The flower had withered and died
In that barren scape, to the earth it was tied
The first drops held promise
How could I know, being but a novice

A novice in this tricky art
Of reviving a numb, cold heart
A steady rain came
And the flower was never the same

Torrent after torrent, never halting
That flower grew and grew, never faulting
In the river with a never ending flow
That let shine the flickering inner glow
Inspired by an amazing friend's poem.  You know who you are :glomp:

I know, definitely not as good [BY ANY FAR CRY] to the poem this is based off of, but it's a first attempt...
